The contemporary Annex residence is located on one of Toronto’s most fabled Annex streets. Built in the 1900’s, the house underwent a full interior renovation along with a limestone rear addition to suit today’s standards of living. The design inspiration combined restoring some original details of the home, whilst mixing in contemporary clean lines. Designer and clients alike felt it was important to maintain the original feeling of the Victorian style home with details including: refinishing original wainscoting, crown molding, and fireplace locations. The client’s colourful personal art collection paired with contemporary furnishings really allows this project to stand out.
